Laura joined Gottlieb, Johnston, Beam & Dal Ponte, PLL in Zanesville, Ohio in 2019. Laura was first admitted to the practice of law in 1996 and is licensed in New Jersey, New York and Ohio, in both state and federal courts. Laura’s practice at Gottlieb is focusing primarily on Family Law, though with her diverse and extensive background, she is happy to assist clients throughout Southeastern and Central Ohio with a wide range of legal matters, including Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianships, Real Estate, Landlord-Tenant, general litigation, mediation and more.

Prior to joining the firm, Laura worked as legal services in central & southeastern Ohio for almost 10 years. Laura then returned to northern New Jersey, where she launched and operated her own law firm for more than 12 years. Her New Jersey firm was a general practice firm also, though she focused on Family Law, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Bankruptcy and general litigation.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Political Science from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1993 and her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Hofstra University School of Law in 1996. While at Hofstra, Laura received numerous awards for her contributions to public service and for her various leadership roles.
Laura is a published writer on several legal topics in national law journals, a public speaker and trainer covering a myriad of legal topics for other lawyers, government agencies and employees, community members and others. She has been a sought-after speaker for various multi-media platforms on various legal and non-legal topics.
Laura is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Muskingum County Bar Association and the Perry County Bar Association. Having recently relocated back to Ohio, she is excited about becoming more involved in the local Ohio communities where she lives and works.
Laura was born and raised in northern New Jersey, in a suburban area not far from New York City. She is living in Thornville with her daughter and their 2 rescued Chihuahua mixes. Laura is excited to be back in her beloved Ohio to continue her career helping her neighbors with their legal needs. Laura and her family plan to enjoy life here in Ohio, learning how to farm and garden.
